Photos will be available online from 2:00pm on Wednesday 23rd June.

If you would like a copy of any of the prints they can be purchased for £4.50 each or £8.00 for two.

Next Meeting

The next meeting of The Friends of St. Alphege Schools will be held on Monday 12th July 2010 at 8.00pm in St Alphege CE Infant School.

This will be the PLANNING MEETING for the next school year, so please make sure you attend if you wish to have some input into our plans for the next 12 months…!

We would like to invite and encourage as many as possible to attend this meeting to hear about the important fundraising work that the Friends do and the huge contribution they make to both schools to help enrich the children’s education.

Being a Committee member of the Friends is not an arduous task. We meet once a month, during term time, on a Monday evening for a couple of hours. At these meetings we primarily review the success of past events, plan the future events, and discuss applications for funding from the Schools or the Governors.

Should anyone be interested in joining the committee please contact James Toogood on 07887 853347 or complete this nomination form and return through either school office.

Captain Carrot!

Thanks to The Friends, the children at the Infant School were delighted by the recent visit of Captain Carrot!The fantastic production, with puppets and some catchy songs, had all the children singing along both during and after the performance. Many parents have told us the songs were shared once they got home too!

Spud was in a roast, he knew he’d gone to seed, and dreamt of being a new potato.

But things had just got worse. In his jacket he discovered a mysterious note threatening to turn him into French Fries. Not knowing anything about Europe he turns to the only person who can help, Captain Carrot…Field Agent.

Spuds chips are down…Will he survive the mash he finds himself in or is he stuffed? Can Spud ever become the great King Edward he always dreamt of?

Quiz Night - CANCELLED!

SORRY, BUT THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF SUPPORT…

Please join us for a Quiz ‘n’ Curry night, on Saturday 24th April, 7:30pm at the Infant School Hall.

Music, Entertainment, Sport & General Knowledge are the categories our quiz-master has lined up for us this year…

We ask that you please arrive promptly by 7:30pm, so we can get the first round of questions started at 7:45pm.

Teams of up to 8 people are welcome - please book quickly as we can only accommodate a maximum of 16 teams.
Smaller parties are welcome & we’ll try and team you up…

Entrance is £10 per person

There will a licenced cash bar - we ask that you please don’t bring your own bottles.

Poppadoms & Curry Supper.

Team prizes & raffle.

Family Easter Bingo

An afternoon of fun and CHOCOLATE was held on Saturday 20th March 2010 in the Junior School Hall.

Approximately 90 people of all ages had a great afternoon of Chocolate, Chocolate, Choclate…!

We held 6 Bingo games, a Creme Egg Tombola, guess the number of eggs in the jar (won by Mr Capezio) and we gave out copious numbers of generously donated easter eggs (way more than were on display in the picture here!)…

May I take this opportunity to pass on my very sincere thanks to all that came along and everyone who helped organise the event…

With your help, we raised over £300 on the day!
